JAL Support's Tokyo's Bid for the 2016 Olympics & Paralympics

Tokyo, October 2, 2008:From today, October 2, 2008, Japan Airlines (JAL) will put into service a specially decorated aircraft to support Tokyo’s bid for the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

JAL is an official partner of the Tokyo 2016 Bid Committee. In support of the committee’s activities, the airline has decorated one of its B767-300 aircraft with a special Tokyo 2016 Olympic/ Paralympic Games bid design. The design incorporates the committee’s logo and Japanese catchphrase as well as an attractive rainbow motif.

The aircraft will serve on domestic Japan routes helping to raise awareness and support from the skies for the Olympic bid throughout the country.

Routes the aircraft will serve on are as follows: Tokyo (Haneda) - Komatsu, Tokyo (Haneda) - Matsuyama, Osaka (Kansai) - Sapporo, and Osaka (Kansai) - Okinawa (Naha).

In the past JAL was given the privilege of carrying the Olympic Torch from Athens to Japan for the 1964 Tokyo Olympic Games. More recently JAL was the official airline for the Japanese national team for the 29th Olympic Summer Games in Beijing, China in August 2008.

JAL is also a supporter of Special Olympics Nippon (SON), the Japan branch of the Special Olympics. For the 2007 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Shanghai, JAL provided assistance to Special Olympics Nippon by providing air transportation to the team of athletes from Japan and SON members of staff.
 
Sono Tokyo, Rio de Janeiro, Madrid e Chicago. Per ora Tokyo e Madrid hanno il punteggio più alto.
Madrid non potrà vincere perchè quelle del 2012 sono già in europa..attenzione a Chicago..se la giocheranno Tokio e Chicago...Rio è alquanto improbabile visto che il brasile ospiterà due anni prima i mondiali
 
si è vero..ma non penso che Rio disponga delle infrastrutture adatte al momento
