Però questa cessazione improvvisa potrebbe dare luogo a ipotesi di avaria più focalizzate sulle cause che hanno portato l’equipaggio a fare un cappio e fiondarsi ad atterrare con flaps e carrello retratti.
È molto inusuale che le due scatole nere cessino di registrare per un “banale” bird strike. Ora, sapendo quali avarie portano ad un complete loss of FDR CVR, sarà piuttosto intuitivo per gli investigatori capire cosa non sia andato per il verso giusto.

Being formally the Recording product leader at Sundstrand Data Control/AlliedSignal/Honeywell I can inform all that both the CVR and FDR on this aircraft are powered from two separate 115VAC xfer busses on the aircraft. Neither are on the Emergency (battery backed-up) Bus. Also, this aircraft was delivered prior to the RIPS (Recorder Independent Power System) mandate for the CVR and hence both a/c losing power at the same time tells me that very likely both engines stopped running and the crew most likely did not activate the APU.

Non so se l’avione in questione ne sia dotato, ma, stante il fatto che hanno perso i due generatori e che quindi non c’era corrente a sufficienza, credo che le varie periferiche non vitali vengano automaticamente escluse.

Fossero in ambito EASA, sopra i 27.000kg di MTOW dovrebbero avere un FDM programme. Però se i sistemi rimangano alimentati diversamente... boh...

The former president of the company that operates the South Korean airport where a Jeju Air jet crash-landed last month has been found dead in his home, the police said on Wednesday.

Son Chang-wan, who was the president of Korea Airports Corporation from 2018 to 2022, was found in his residence in Gunpo, a city about 14 miles south of Seoul, on Tuesday evening. The police said there was no evidence of murder or intrusion into his home and called his death an apparent suicide.

Mr. Son was in office when a renovation of the Muan International Airport, the site of the Dec. 29 Jeju Air disaster in which 179 people were killed, began in 2020. But he was not a subject of an investigation into the crash being conducted by the Jeonnam Provincial Police, according to an agency spokesperson.

Credo che il senso di colpa, che posso ipotizzare essere stata la causa scatenante del suicidio, non abbia particolari confini, ma sia qualcosa di strettamente personale e legato alla sensibilità del singolo.

Il valore e il concetto stesso di “perdere la faccia” sono molto legati al contesto culturale e sono sicuramente molto presenti in estremo oriente
