Turkish Airlines in Winter 2015/16 season is adding 2 long-haul destinations, with reservations both opened as of 06MAY15.

Istanbul Ataturk – Miami eff 25OCT15 Service resumption with 777-300ER aircraft on daily basis

TK078 MIA2130 – 1630+1IST 77W D

TK last operated Miami service in September 2001, with 3 weekly A340-300 operation. From 25OCT15 to 26MAR16, Comfort Class will be offered on board the 777

Istanbul Ataturk – Johannesburg – Maputo eff 28OCT15 NEW 3 weekly service to Maputo in Mozambique, with A330

TK does not have local traffic rights on JNB MPM sector. Overall service to Johannesburg remains unchanged at 7 weekly level
 
Ma vuol dire che il volo si aggiunge al daily su JNB o che 3 volte a settimana il volo prosegue per MPM?
Chissa a che punto sono i lavori all'aeroporto di Maputo, un paio di anni fa c'era un esercito di cinesi che ci lavorava (dormendo in una mini chinatown costruita allo scopo di fianco al cantiere) probabilmente in un accordo tra governi "oil for infrastructure".
Mi aveva fatto moltissima impressione.
