Se avessero chiuso lo spazio aereo sopra l'Ucraina prima che fosse successo quello che è successo pensi che le compagnie avrebbero detto "BRAVI OTTIMA IDEA!" avrebbero montato una polemica mostruosa.
Ripeto, sicuramente si puo e si deve migliorare ma allo stato attuale non abbiamo molte alternative se non seguire le indicazioni del VAAC e di Eurocontrol.

E' un altro paio di maniche: in Ucraina la guerra c'è ed i lanciamissili pure.

Se avessero chiuso lo spazio aereo sopra Islanda e dintorni nessuno avrebbe avuto da ridire, ma sopra Svizzera, Austria e Nord Italia era al limite del ridicolo, se non addirittura oltre.
Hai una spiegazione valida del perché sopra Milano non si volava e sopra Roma sì? Ha visto il bordo della nuvola di cenere?
Hai visto la cenere a terra dopo le piogge di quel periodo?

Ci rinuncio.... no non le ho viste, come nessuno parlava di lancia missili in mano ai ribelli in Ucraina. Se il vulcano dovesse eruttare domani come facciamo a sapere se è il caso o no di volare in mezzo alla cenere? Rischiamo e poi vediamo che succede? Comunque stiamo intasando il 3D con il nostro botta e risposta. Tu hai la tua opinione e io ho la mia (grazie a Dio). io direi di chiuderla qui.

Vulcani e guerre non si assomigliano, ma tu non sei informato ed insisti...

L'ho già scritto ... a migliaia di km dal vulcano possiamo stare tranquilli, anzi sereni, visto che ora va di moda

Ho trovato questo link che riporta un paio di fotografie interessanti. Una di come era ridotto il reattore del famoso BA 747, l'altro di un F18 Finlandese il 15/4/2010......

Poi ditemi se vi piacerebbe volarci in mezzo. Non vorrei dire ma la Finlandia era un po' più a levante dall'eruzione... e la foto riporta chiaramente "light volcanic ash".....

Tra l'incidente al 747 BA ed il vulcano islandese: "the problem was still that no one knew precisely what density of ash constituted a danger, nor whether the ash cloud could be tracked accurately enough"

Dubai: Etihad Airways has had to alter some flight paths following Saturday’s partial closure of Icelandic airspace, the airline said in a statement on Sunday.
“Etihad Airways’ European and trans-Atlantic flights are operating to schedule with some minor changes to trans-Atlantic flight paths avoiding the closed Icelandic airspace,” a spokesperson told Gulf News in an email.
Iceland closed airspace near the Bardarbunga volcano, located in the centre of the country, on Saturday when the Meteorological Office raised the aviation alert at Bardarbunga to “red”.
Authorities had feared an eruption was imminent, however, on Sunday the alert was downgraded to “orange”.



Etihad said it is closely monitoring the situation and has developed contingency plans “for possible flight disruptions in the event the Bardarbunga volcano erupts.”
In 2010, the eruption of a different Icelandic volcano led to millions of passengers stranded around the world as European airspace was shut down. Global airlines lost $1.7 billion (Dh6.2 billion) in revenue because of the 2010 eruption, the International Air Transport Association said at the time.

Vola pure in mezzo alla carta vetrata..... Tu sei il classico caso in cui se succede un incidente per primo esclameresti "Ma perchè non hanno bloccato lo spazio aereo...."

Prevenire è meglio che curare ricordatelo.
