A Bhoja Air Boeing 737-200, registration AP-BKC performing flight B4-213 from Karachi to Islamabad (Pakistan) with 118 passengers and 9 crew, impacted terrain about 5-10km short of Islamabad's runway 30 near Jinnah Gardens, completely broke up and burst into flames at about 18:50L (13:50Z). About 5-10 houses on the ground were destroyed, the crash site extends over an area of about 1000 meters. All occupants perished in the crash.

Rescue teams have been dispatched to the scene. All Islamabad hospitals have been put on alert.

Emergency services initially stated the chances of finding survivors are grim and later said, no survivors have been found stating no one has survived the crash.

Police said fire erupted only after the crash, there is no chance for finding survivors.

Pakistan's Minister of Interior said the aircraft caught fire while still in the air, no distress call was transmitted however. 10 houses on the ground were destroyed however all occupants of these houses are safe.

Witnesses on the ground report the aircraft was hit by lightning.

Bhoja Air operated two Boeing 737-200s AP-BKC and AP-BKD as well as a Boeing 737-400 registration AP-BKF. Flight B4-213 was the inaugural flight on the route Karachi-Islamabad today.

A flight crew on the ground said the aircraft crashed on final approach to runway 30 about 3nm/5km short of the runway.

Radar data show ICAO24 code 760963 (AP-BKC) depart Karachi around 12:00Z, ICAO code 760964 (AP-BKD) departed Karachi at around 13:00Z.

Non vorrei essere cinico, potete spiegare a chi come me non è pratico cosa dice il bolletino meteo?

E' un meteo che permette di atterare o meglio evitare?
 
immagino che il veivolo era stato rigenerato visto la data di costruzione....comunque la sicurezza dei voli in paesi come il pakistan è abbastanza discutibile..,non so ancora le cause del disastro e non vorrei tirare conclusioni ma mi auguro che certe compagnie non metteranno mai piede in europa.....
