Singapore Airlines said its new low-fare carrier, which will start operating next year, will use some of its Boeing 777-200 aircraft for its fleet.
"Aircraft will initially be acquired from Singapore Airlines and reconfigured in a new seating layout," Singapore Airlines, the world's second-largest carrier by market value, said in a statement.
Singapore Airlines did not elaborate how many planes the new carrier will use.
