Secondo ben informati su forum tedeschi Lufthansa aprirà Monaco-Città del Messico dal 30 ottobre p.v., 5 volte la settimana con A-346.

Il volo non è ancora in vendita ma lo dovrebbe essere nei prossimi giorni.

LH già opera 1 daily sul FRA-MEX con B744, e sta puntando a rafforzarsi in America Latina nel corso dell'ultimo dopo l'apertura già avvenuta di Bogotà (5xw) e la prossima di Rio de Janeiro (5xw) sempre dal 30.10. In questo caso entrambe le rotte sono da Francoforte.

QATAR Airways announced another wave of FY2011/12 expansion, which the latest announcement includes the launch of Madinah in Saudi Arabia from 14JUL11, Entebbe in Uganda from 02NOV11, Baku in Azerbaijan and Tbilisi in Georgia from 30NOV11.

Wider choice of flights to Saudi Arabia / Direct flight via Riyadh

This coming winter Lufthansa is launching a new service from Munich to Jeddah. The new route via Riyadh will be served from 31 October 2011 with an Airbus A340. Riyadh is currently served with a Boeing 737-800 operated on behalf of Lufthansa by the Swiss business jet operator PrivatAir. In the winter timetable, Riyadh and Jeddah will be served thrice weekly from Munich, supplementing the daily flights already operated by Luft¬hansa from Frankfurt. “Saudi Arabia is becoming increasingly important for the Bavarian market. Deploying a larger aircraft on this route will enable Lufthansa to offer its customers a much wider choice of connections to Saudi Arabia,” says Thomas Klühr, who is responsible for Munich & Direct Services on the Lufthansa German Airlines Board.

Jeddah is Saudi Arabia's main port and has a population of three million. The city is considered to be the principal gateway to Mecca and has many historic sights to offer. Jeddah is also an important industrial centre on the Red Sea.

Riyadh has a population of about 4.1 million and is the largest city in Saudi Arabia. The country possesses the world's largest oil reserves and is consequently one of the biggest oil producers. It is also a leading member of OPEC. Other important exports are petrochemical products, fertilizers, cement, steel and textiles. Throughout its history, Riyadh has been an important stopping-off point in the Arab region. The city lies at the crossroads of the pilgrimage routes to Mecca and Medina, the most important holy cities in Islam.

Delta chiude JFK-Cairo/Amman/Kiev

Sospensione del servizio per Il Cairo e Amman

Delta sospenderà a tempo indeterminato i voli diretti tra New York-JFK e Amman (Giordania), a partire dal 1 giugno 2011. Delta ha anche annullato i piani di ripristino dei voli tra New York-JFK e Il Cairo (Egitto) del prossimo mese, dopo che il servizio era stato sospeso a febbraio. Delta continuerà a offrire il servizio tra gli Stati Uniti e Amman e Il Cairo, via Parigi e Amsterdam, su voli dei partner in joint venture Air France e KLM.


Suspension of Service to Kiev

Delta will indefinitely suspend its nonstop service between New York-JFK and Kiev, Ukraine (KBP), effective June 17, 2011. Delta will continue to offer service between the U.S. and Kiev via Paris and Amsterdam on flights operated by joint venture partners Air France and KLM.

Delta will contact customers with nonstop travel planned between the U.S. and Kiev after June 17 to provide reaccommodation. Affected customers can reschedule their travel without penalties or fees and may request a refund if their flight has been cancelled.

Mi sembra stiano riducendo pian piano, ma in modo costante, sugli USA. Anche dalla S11 hanno tagliato frequenze su alcune rotte.
Ma che ne faranno di 'sti 380, se anche quello per NRT mi sembra sia sostituito da 744??

Bella domanda, in inverno togliere il 380 da SFO ci può stare ma da JFK rotta trafficata tutto l'anno mi sembra strano. Inoltre JFK per l'importanza della rotta e per quello che rappresenza a livello di immagine normalmente le compagnie usano sempre l'aereo ammiraglia della loro flotta.

Comunque personalmente in inverno sposterei i due 380 su rotte da alta vocazione turistica stagionale come GIG e BKK.

Vedremo, effettivamente con tre macchine libere dovrebbero puntare su nuove destinazioni veramente trafficate. Gli aeroporti brasiliani sono in grado di accogliere il 388?
 
JFK penso sia trafficata tutto l'anno ma sicuramente gennaio febbraio e novembre sono mesi dove il traffico subisce una forte flessione. Basta dare un'occhio alle tariffe del periodo per rendersene conto.
Meglio spostare la macchina su mercati che d'inverno si riempiono facilmente (p.e sudamerica)

Ok però mi sembra che altri come AF o EK mantengano il 380 fisso annuale sulla JFK. Il 380 a livello di immagine non è un aereo qualsiasi genera anche un effetto particolare, ci sono molti pax che scelgono di volare proprio su una determinata rotta o con una determinata compagnia proprio per volare con questo tipo di aereo. La stessa LH ha puntato molto a livelllo di immagine sull' effetto A380 creando un sito dedicato i suoi 380 in flotta con tanto di notizie, operativi e foto.
 
Tam dimezza il Parigi Rio

Secondo quanto riporta oggi airlineroute tam da agosto riduce pesantemente cdg gig che passa da 2 daily a 6x week in pratica più che dimezzato. Probabilmente il notevole incremento dei voli dall' Europa a gig e al brasile di questo ultimo periodo inizia a farsi sentire e fare le sue vittime tra le compagnie che tradizionalmente operano sulla rotta. Ricordo ad esempio i nuovi voli di az lh e l'incremento di ba tutti su gig solo per citarne qualcuno
 
BMI cambia, come la maggior parte delle compagnie europee, il suo routing su THR che diventa via EVN (stop tecnico per refueling)

Vietnam Airlines to start London Gatwick service from Dec 2011

As per 19MAY11 GDS timetable display, Vietnam Airlines from 08DEC11 will launch service to London Gatwick 4 times a week with Boeing 777-200ER aircraft. London is the carrier’s 4th destination in Europe.

The Skyteam member will operate 2 weekly flights each out of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, and currently available for reservation.

Lufthansa con la stagione estiva termina il collegamento Francoforte - Hyderabad (India) operato 3xw con A343.

LH continuerà comunque a volare a Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai e Pune in India per come stanno ora le cose.
 
Non mi pare che se ne sia già parlato:

Iberia aggiunge un volo bisettimanale MAD-LAD (Luanda, Angola) dal 29 settembre 2011. [airliners.net]

Attualmente la regina dei (ricchi) voli tra Europa e Angola è TAP Portugal, forte di un accordo bilaterale tra Portogallo e Angola che permette più frequenze settimanali che con qualsiasi altro paese europeo.
 
TAP Portugal cancels Johannesburg service; Maputo changes from June 2011

As per 26MAY11 GDS timetable and inventory display, Star Alliance member TAP Portugal is ending service to Johannesburg, with last departure from Lisbon operates on 30MAY11, Johannesburg on 31MAY11.

It currently operates Lisbon – Maputo – Johannesburg – Lisbon service twice weekly. With the cancellation of Johannesburg sector, service to Maputo sees operational day change.
