€8 TOURIST TAX LOSES 3,000,000 PAX & 3,000 JOBS IN 2011 AT BERLIN, BREMEN, DUSSELDORF WEEZE & FRANKFURT HAHN


Ryanair, the world’s favourite airline, today (14th Dec) announced further cuts to its 2011 German operations which will suffer the loss of 3m passengers and 3,000 jobs at airports in Berlin, Bremen, Dusseldorf Weeze and Frankfurt Hahn due to the German Govt’s new €8 tourist tax.

Ryanair will cut the following flights and traffic from its summer 2011 schedule in response to the German Govt’s €8 tourist tax:

•Berlin – 122 weekly flights, 4 routes and 900,000 passengers p.a. with the loss of 900 jobs.

•Bremen – 58 weekly flights, 8 routes, 400,000 passengers p.a. with the loss of 400 jobs.

•Düsseldorf Weeze – 84 weekly flights, 13 routes, 700,000 passengers p.a. with the loss of 700 jobs in Weeze

•Frankfurt Hahn - 150 weekly flights, 9 routes, 1m passengers p.a. with the loss of 1,000 jobs in Hahn.

Comunque tutto sommato poco rilevante per l'Italia questa raffica di cancellazioni.
Per la Germania, laddove ci sarà un vero potenziale mercato, credo non mancheranno sostituti (o comunque soluzioni alternative da aeroporti limitrofi).

Proprio per evidenziare questo taglio "a causa delle tasse" di sicuro domani uscirà un comunicato per annunciare tutte le nuove rotte (alcune anticipate qui sul forum) in giro per tutta Europa esclusa la Germania. :)
 
Ryanair sposterà questi aeromobili in basi fuori dalla Germania presso Paesi che accolgono i turisti invece di tassarli. Invitiamo il Governo Tedesco a rivedere l’impatto dannoso che le tasse hanno avuto in Irlanda e nel Regno Unito prima che questa tassa di soggiorno di €8 crei danni simili al traffico e ai posti di lavoro negli aeroporti tedeschi. Anche il Governo Irlandese ha riconosciuto i danni che la tassa turistica di €10 ha arrecato al turismo irlandese e ai posti di lavoro e la scorsa settimana ha ridotto la tassa da €10 a €3 a partire dal 2011.”

Ma scusate, possibile che per 122 voli settimanale, si generi lavoro per 900 dipendenti? 18 voli al giorno e 900 dipendenti? Quindi ogni volo di Ryanair sfama 50 persone? Non mi sarei mai aspettato un impiego similare...
 
I tagli hanno toccato poco l'Italia , evidentemente le rotte ,a parte Brema, rendono anche con la tassa.
