Eurowings (EW, Dusseldorf) will operate to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi and not Bangkok Don Mueangas previously announced when it commences longhaul budget operations later this winter.
Using a pair of ex-EVA Air (BR, Taipei Taoyuan) A330-200s on wet-lease from Sun Express Deutschland (XG, Frankfurt Int'l), the Lufthansa (LH, Frankfurt Int'l) subsidiary will serve Varadero, Cuba and Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic from its Cologne/Bonn hub beginning this November.
Thereafter, flights to Bangkok and Dubai Int'l will launch in December along with other destinations such as Phuket in Thailand and Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic.

Ieri ho visto un Airbus 4U con livrea Eurowings, non ho dato un'occhiata più attenta perché ero inpegnato con un volo FR. Che non sia proprio questo?

Leggevo su Skyliner che due nuovi A320 sono stati registrati con marche OE per Germanwings Austria. Non avevo mai sentito parlare di questa divisione.
Eurowings iniziera da fine ottobre le OPS 332 sull'avvicendamento CGN-PMI-HAM-PMI-CGN. da inizio novembre poi come programmato le rotte di LR
ho prenotato un DXB-CGN con loro a gennaio. Se prima di me nessuno viaggerà con loro farò volentieri un TR!

Il sedile della Best è quello di Y+ del lungo LH: non ci sarà pertanto una vera e propria business; dal post linkato si desume che un'a/r in Best su DXB prezzi venga intorno ai 500€, mentre su BKK intorno ai 1000€.

Si è aperta ufficialmente ieri l’avventura di Lufthansa, che ha debuttato nel segmento low cost a lungo raggio attraverso la controllata Eurowings. Dallo scalo di Colonia/Bonn è decollato il volo in direzione Varadero, Cuba, primo tassello di un network che includerà Punta Cana e Puerto Plata in Repubblica Dominicana, Phuket e Bangkok in Thailandia oltre a Dubai.
Tre le configurazioni di servizio degli A330 che saranno utilizzati per i collegamenti, con 21 posti in best, 46 in more confort e i restanti 243 prenotabili con le tariffe smart e basic. Eurowings ha scelto di affrontare l’avventura partendo dalla fatidica tariffa base di 100 euro, comprensiva di un bagaglio a mano e acqua a bordo. Poi tutto a pagamento. Con la tariffa smart, invece, il prezzo del biglietto arriva a includere anche il pasto e la prenotazione del posto.
“Eurowings combina prezzi attraenti con un concetto di prodotto innovativo e alta qualità – sottolinea Karl Ulrich Garnadt, presidente del direttivo di Lufthansa Passage, divisione passeggeri del gruppo tedesco -. Eurowings Confirms Cologne – US Launch from May 2016
Eurowings has confirmed its planned service launch to the US from Cologne in Summer 2016 season, as the airline opened reservation this week.
From 01MAY16, the airline will operate service to Boston, Las Vegas and Miami with following schedule. Lufthansa is also placing its LH code on this route.
