impossibile, un aereo civile non ha l'inviluppo di volo per potere schivare un missile che gli sia puntato contro. I missili in grado di colpire alla quota di crociera di un aeromobile civile inseguono il bersaglio più volte. EDIT

On Nov 7th 2015 Egypt's Air Accident Investigation Commission (EAAIC) reported in a press conference, that:
- the wreckage is distributed over a length of more than 13km consistent with inflight breakup, several parts of the wreckage are missing.
- Initial observation of the wreckage does not yet allow to determine the cause of the inflight break up.
- The FDR was successfully downloaded, preliminary review of the data suggests the recording stopped 23 minutes 14 seconds after becoming airborne, last recorded altitude was 30,888 feet MSL, last recorded airspeed was 281 knots IAS, autopilot 1 was engaged, the aircraft was still climbing.
- The CVR was successfully downloaded and a first listening was done, the transcript is currently being compiled, a noise was heard in the last second of the recording. Spectral analysis is trying to determine the nature of this noise.
- Parties reporting facts outside of the investgation should provide their evidence to the accident investigation commission (Editorial note: this appears to be a reference to British and US Intelligence suggesting the aircraft was brought down by a bomb).

Faccio una domanda agli esperti: dalle immagini sembra che la coda si sia tranciata di netto dalla fusoliera, ed è fin troppo facile fare rimando all'incidente del JAL123. Soprattutto perchè EI-ETJ, come JA8119, ha subito un tail strike ed è stato sottoposto a riparazioni. E qui viene la domanda: che rumore fa un cedimento strutturale?

A me è venuto un dubbio, perchè trasportare le valigie separatamente dai passeggeri ? Non bastava aumentare i controlli magari aumentando la presenza militare su tutto quello che si imbarcava sugli aerei ?
L'unica risposta che ho trovato è stata questa: forse gli investigatori sospettano di qualche nuova sostanza che sfugge al controllo bagagli ? Qualcosa che possa detonare ad una certa pressione atmosferica ? Insomma un nuovo tipo di ordigno ?

Presenza militare straniera, quindi togliendo sovranità allo stato? O presenza militare egiziana, la stessa che accetta mazzette per non farti fare la fila ai controlli?
È più facile portare un apparato radiogeno dall'UK e fare lo screening alle cose che imbarco io stesso...

(ANSA) - ROMA, 8 NOV - Il Dipartimento dei trasporti britannico (Dtf) ritiene che il volo della Thomson diretto a Sharm el-Sheikh il 23 agosto scorso non sia stato minacciato da alcun missile: lo scrive il sito del quotidiano britannico Guardian sintetizzando l'esito di un'indagine condotta sul controverso caso segnalato dal Daily Mail. Ieri l'Egitto ha smentito che un missile terra-aria delle sue forze armate abbia sfiorato l'aereo della Thomson definendo le affermazioni di stampa "assurde"

Ma secondo voi, un missile terra aria, riesce a mancare un bersaglio così facile come un aereo di linea?
Se lo vuoi tirare giù con un missile è quasi impossibile sbagliare.

On Nov 8th 2015 the EAAIC re-iterated, that only the information provided during the press conference on Nov 7th 2015 is official. With reference to new media reports (editorial note: claiming based on Egyptian investigators that the sound at the end of the CVR is 90% consistent with a bomb explosion) the chairman of EAAIC stressed, that this information comes from unnamed sources not associated with the EAAIC despite claims those sources were Egyptian investigators.
