UNITED to Start Denver – Tokyo Narita Boeing 787 Service from Mar 2013

UNITED starting 31MAR13 will launch Denver – Tokyo Narita service with Boeing 787 aircraft. The Boeing 787 features 42 UNITED BusinessFirst Seat and 183 Economy Class Seats.

Reservation is now open as of 1300hrs GMT with following schedule and configuration:

UA123 DEN1155 – 1500+1NRT 788 D 31MAR13-
UA122 NRT1640 – 1230DEN 788 D 01APR13-

Economy Class 96 Seats

E' verosimile, comunque, che la IAH-AKL venga messa in vendita quando sarà certa la data di inizio delle operazioni, che dipende dalle consegne del 787: il primo volo dovrebbe finire all'asta su eBay.

Le precedenti rotte annunciate con il B787, IAH-AKL e IAH-LOS (quest'ultima credo iniziata cmq da alcuni mesi, ma con B772) se ricordo bene erano state annuncita da Continental, quando era ancora un brand autonomo.

Esatto: la rotta IAH-AKL fu annunciata il 26 maggio 2010, quando Continental era ancora autonoma (la fusione era stata annunciata il 3 maggio dello stesso anno).

UNITED has outlined planned Boeing 787 aircraft’s initial Domestic and International operations. The Star Alliance member is due to receive First Boeing 787 this fall, and to enter operation from late-October 2012 on domestic routes. First International Boeing 787 route is slated for December 2012.
