Transaero Buys Six Superjet 100 Planes

Transaero, one of Russia's largest airlines, will buy six Sukhoi Superjet 100 planes for short-haul domestic flights, Transaero’s deputy head, Dmitry Stolyarov said on Friday.
The planes, each worth of $35.4 million, will be used for short-haul domestic flights and will be delivered starting from 2015, Stolyarov said.
“This purchase is a response to a growing demand for regional flights in Russia,” Stolyarov said, adding that the aircraft is expected to operate in Transaero’s St.Petersburg hub and its Far Eastern hub in the city of Khabarovsk.
The aircraft developer, Sukhoi Civil Aircraft, confirmed ongoing negotiations with Transaero but refused to give further details.
“Transaero expressed interest in buying our planes but we cannot comment on the number of jets that are expected to be sold,” Sukhoi Civil Aircraft’s spokesman Andrei Muravyev said.
The deal is Transaero’s third biggest purchase to date. In October 2011, the carrier signed a $1.5 billion agreement with the European Airbus consortium to buy four A380 aircraft. Deliveries will start from the fourth quarter of 2015.

In November, the $1.3 billion deal with the U.S. Boeing made Transaero the first airline in Russia, the CIS and East European countries to operate the long-haul wide-body Boeing-747-8.
Superjet 100 is a medium-haul passenger aircraft developed by Sukhoi in cooperation with U.S. and European aviation corporations, including Boeing, Snecma, Thales, Messier Dowty, Liebherr Aerospace and Honeywell.
The aircraft is capable of carrying up to 100 passengers for up to 4,500 kilometers.

Sì, intendevo pochissimi, da determinate aree geografiche logico, 339, in totale, ma solo 12 BV, che poi vedremo come andrà a finire, poi 6+5 da due società una svizzera ed un'altra americana, poi in ogni caso cmq non mi paiono tanti! :)

si c'e l'SBJ che e' una versione biz/corporate venduti alla comlux svizzera .l'aereo e' abbastanza largo quindi meglio di un lineage 1000, le performance dichiarate sono simili
 
Ottima notizia per il Superjet, tra l'altro Transaero ha 10 opzioni oltre all'ordine di 6 aerei.
L'ordine di BV è tuttora operativo, sempre che la risposta che ho avuto su Facebook da Superjet sia valida.

Qui è spiegato un po' meglio...
"Transaero Airlines (UN) is close to inking a deal with Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Co (SCAC) for a firm order of six Sukhoi Superjet 100s plus 10 options, CEO Olga Pleshakova said.

“Within several weeks, we plan to sign an agreement on six SSJ100s and options for an additional 10. The first two will be delivered in 2015, two in 2016 and the remaining two in 2017,” Pleshakova told ATW in Singapore, where she accepted the ATW Airline Market Leadership award for 2012.

She said UN will operate the aircraft in a two-class layout, with a business- and an economy-class cabin, on short-haul domestic routes with a high frequency from its hub at St. Petersburg’s Pulkovo airport and in the Russian Far East.

UN in 2009 considered ordering SSJs to substitute its much-delayed outstanding order for 10 Tupolev Tu-214s, which it placed in 2005 (ATW, April 1, 2009). The carrier took delivery of its third Tu-214 in September 2009 (ATW Daily News, Oct. 13, 2009). Production of the Tu-214 has been stopped since, and UN had hoped to reach an agreement with Financial Leasing Co. for them to take the three Tu-214s back and swap them with SSJs.

“We considered substituting our order on the Tupolev-214s into SSJs but left the idea. By 2015 we’ll conclude our lease payments on the Tu-214s and will own them. The Sukhoi Superjet is a different deal,” Pleshakova said.

UN carried 8.5 million passengers in 2011, up 27.2% on 2010, and launched 45 new routes.

As part of its continuous fleet renewal program and to support growth, UN placed orders for four Airbus A380s, four Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental aircraft, four 787s and eight A320neos. Deliveries of the A380s will start from the fourth quarter of 2015."
 
....Spero x loro che non facciano il passo più lungo della gamba! Mi pare abbiano messo parecchia carne al fuoco.
 
Transaero funziona bene, gestisce rotte nazionali ed internazionali piu vacanziere ed e in ampia espansione. I servizi sono sullo stesso livello di su. Non stiamo parlando di pochi aerei, ha una flotta molto ampia con un buon numero di WB tutti americani. Sono basati a DME che si trova a sud rispetto SVO che e a nord, e c'e da mangiare per tutti in quei di Mosca. L'espansione di Transaero e stato veramente notevole in termini di flotta che livello servizi. In italia ce lo sognamo un management di tal livello

Veramente, oltre al management che ovviamente ha gestito bene, molto ha fatto anche un mercato in rapida espansione, con soldi e con "fame" di viaggi, e quindi un ottimo mercato.
 
Sì, li ho visti a Sharm 2 anni fa, venivano giù coi 747, non ho visto nessuna macchina russa; francamente non conosco nulla di questa società, se mi dite così, meglio x loro!
