TAAG ordina altri 3 B777-300ER, nuove rotte in Europa e forse USA

La compagnia dell'Angola, che dispone già di 3 B777-200ER e 2 B777-300ER (+ altri 2 in arrivo) ha nei giorni scorsi siglato presso l'Ambasciata Americana a Luanda un contratto con la Boeing per la consegna di altri 3 B77W tra 2014 e 2016.

La compagnia angolana, secondo quanto riferito dai suoi responsabili, ha intenzione di irrobustire il network di lungo raggio guardando in particolare all'Europa (hanno parlato di 'Europa Centrale' senza specificare) e probabilmente anche all'attivazione di un nuovo collegamento, al momento mancante, per gli Stati Uniti.

Su a.net si rumoreggia addirittura l'apertura di un Luanda-Roma-Parigi da ottobre p.v.


Angola: TAAG, Boeing Sign U.S.$ 600 Million Deal

Luanda — The Angolan Airlines (TAAG) signed Tuesday in Luanda, four agreements with the U.S. Boeing for the purchase of three aircraft, estimated at about USD 600 million.

The agreements stipulate the delivery of first Boeing 777-300ER in late 2014 or March 2015, the second in September of that year and the last in 2016.

The deals were signed by the Angolan minister of Transport, Augusto da Silva Tomás, and sales director of Boeing, João Miguel.

Augusto da Silva Tomás said that the signing of the contract is a positive response to the challenges of rebuilding TAAG.

The minister increased that the future of the company (TAAG) will be satisfied for all and reaches the medium-term balance and improves the condition of its employees.

The sales director of Boeing, João Miguel, said that in March and September 2015 the company will deliver the first two airplanes and the last in 2016.

TAAG and Boeing sign contracts of more than USD 600 million


Luanda – The Angolan Airlines (TAAG) signed on Tuesday in Luanda four accords with US Boeing aimed to buy three planes, estimated at more than USD 600 million.

The accords set up that the first Boeing 777- 300ER plane will be handed over at the end of 2014 or March 20015, while the second and third aircrafts will be delivered in September of 2015 and 2016, respectively.

The accords were signed by the Angolan Transport Minister, Augusto da Silva Tomás and sales manager of Boeing, João Miguel.

On the occasion, Augusto da Silva Tomás said that the signing of the contract is a positive answer to the challenges of TAAG’s modernisation.

According to him, the decisions also consist on the range of measures in the domain of maintenance of information systems for management and training of man.

Augusto Tomás said that the future of the Angolan airlines will focus on the satisfaction of everyone and thus achieve in medium term the balance point, as well as improve the working conditions of its workers.

On his turn, the sales manager of Boeing said that his company will hand over in March and September in 2015 two planes and that last aircraft will be delivered in 2016.

The CEO of TAAG, Pimentel Araújo said that the purchasing of these aircrafts will generate direct and indirect jobs.

He said that TAAG will open new routes, whose destinations are not defined yet.

Sapevo che TAAG aveva problemi di manutenzione che gli impedivano di volare in Europa. I 777 che già hanno possono farlo?

Il ban è roba vecchia.

Attualmente volano a LIS e OPO, solo in Portogallo quindi.

Le altre rotte europee sono invece tutte coperte tramite codeshare con i vettori di bandiera locali...ultimo in ordine di arrivo, di qualche giorno fa, quello con KLM che ha attivato il volo da AMS.
 
Mah secondo me se apriranno effettivamente qualche rotta europea sarà qualcosa tipo 1x week e magari pure co terminalizzato.
