Sembra che Solyom non vedra' mai la luce.

Dall'articolo in tedesco tradotto con Goggle risulta che:
- E' insolvente da giovedi scorso;
- I 73 impiegati non sono pagati;
- nessun biglietto e' stato ancora venduto;
- nessuna traccia dell'investitore medio orientale;
- il CEO e' in ospedale;
- il suo vice si e' dimesso;
- 30 milioni di euro di debiti.

Un inizio col botto!

Sólyom Hungarian Airways (HUN, Budapest) has officially filed for bankruptcy after it was unable to launch operations. The Hungarian media reports now state that the airline never received its Air Operators Certificate added to which Omani investors pulled out at the last moment. Reports further allege that management, headed by CEO Jozsef Vago, has now mysteriously disappeared. Using a fleet of twelve B737-500s, Sólyom had hoped to serve all of continental Europe with long-haul flights to the US and Far East to have come later on.

Purtroppo non credo ci sia piu' spazio per una nuova compagnia ungherese, di fatto la nuova compagnia nazionale è diventata Wizzair che ha anche un AOC ungherese e che ha ricevuto la designazione per diversi bilaterali prima appartenuti a Malev.

Sólyom Hungarian Airways v2.0 turns to crowdfunding


Sólyom Hungarian Airways (HUN, Budapest) has turned to crowdfunding in a bid to raise HUF150million (USD0.673million) in start-up capital. According to its prospectus, the carrier will offer investors tiered "membership" levels based upon the amount invested.

János Lucsik, Managing Director of Sólyom Hungarian Airways Ltd, says the carrier is aiming to launch operations in autumn this year. A B737-500, HA-SHA (msn 24648), is currently being used as part of the start-up's AOC certification.

The original Sólyom Hungarian Airways was to have launched scheduled regional operations in September last year only for the venture to collapse at the eleventh hour when its Omani backers withdrew funding.
