Ryanair, Europe’s No. 1 airline, today (28 Feb) launched its first Frankfurt Main winter schedule (2017), with 7 based aircraft (an investment of $700m), 20 new routes to Athens, Barcelona, Brindisi, Catania, Glasgow, Gran Canaria, Krakow, Lanzarote, Lisbon, London, Madrid, Manchester, Milan, Pisa, Porto, Seville, Tenerife, Toulouse, Valencia and Venice (24 routes in total), which will deliver over 2.3m customers p.a. and support 1,750* jobs at Frankfurt Airport.

Ryanair will connect Frankfurt Main with major business centres on high frequency, low fare services including Barcelona (daily), London (2 daily), Lisbon (daily), Madrid (daily) and Milan (daily) on lower fares, making Ryanair the ideal choice for German business and leisure customers, and these new Frankfurt routes will go on sale on the Ryanair.com website later this week.

Ryanair’s Frankfurt Winter 2017 schedule will deliver:

Ryanair’s Frankfurt Main summer 2017 schedule is attracting record bookings, with 4 routes to Alicante, Faro, Malaga and Palma commencing on 28 March on lower fares as Ryanair passes on lower fuel costs, and an even better customer experience, as it continues to roll out its “Always Getting Better” improvements.

In Frankfurt, Ryanair’s Michael O’Leary said:

Buona ed inaspettata notizia per Brindisi che aggiunge una nuova destinazione al suo network. Dalla Puglia, FR ha sempre investito su BRI per quanto riguarda le rotte verso la Germania.

Non mi sembra, da tempo ci sono basi low cost nei principali aeroporti europei, solo per citarne qualcuno:

Per la serie negli altri paesi le compagnie di bandiera non hanno la concorrenza di Ryanair nei loro hub...

Appunto Cesare, a parte IB in Spagna le altre major fino ad ora non hanno avuto FR in casa.

Routes from LVIV:
to Krakow(3xw) , Budapest(2xw), Berlin Sxf(2xw) , Wroclaw(2xw) , Memmingen (2xw),Eindhoven(2xw) and London Stn (2xw).

Routes from KIEV:
to Eindhoven (3x week), London (5x week), Manchester (3x week), Stockholm (4x week).

LWO-KRK penso sia una delle tratte più brevi di FR. Sono meno di 200 miglia. Possibile che convenga a FR ?

Strano non ci sia in partenza BGY. La comunità ucraina nell'area MI-BG-BS è foltissima.

Immagino arriverà sicuramente nel corso dell'anno prossimo.

Ho aggiornato anche con le frequenze di Lwo.
Proprio la Lwo-Krk è quella con più frequenze :), quindi sì, pare convenga a Fr.
Non ho misurato le miglia, ma so che da Cracovia a Leopoli le strade sono proprio così ben messe e scorrevoli...In Irlanda sanno farsi bene i conti.

Come rotte brevi ho preso recentemente la Lis-Opo, rotta ben collegata su gomma e rotaie, e ben più breve della Lwo-Krk. Tuttavia servono un 3daily.
Anche la Cta-Mla sta dando soddisfazioni a quanto so.
 
Ps: domani conferenza a Poznan, potenziale nuova base. Probabile qualche nuova rotta verso l'Italia, visto che nel loro network attualmente c'è solo Cia
 
Continua l'espansione a FRA. Presentata la S18 con l'aggiunta di 3 nuovi aerei basati per un totale di 10. Cominciano ad essere davvero importanti nello scalo principale tedesco.
Oltre alle italiane gia citate (BGY, TSF, PEG, PSA, BDS, CTA) da segnalare la 'rottura' del monopolio su rotte importanti fra cui BCN ed anche KRK.
