Leave the luggage to us - October 29, 2019
Picture this: You’re traveling to London for business. When you land, you’ll have to go straight from the airport to an important meeting and you’re dreading walking through your client’s front door with your luggage in tow, not to mention hauling it around town, in and out of taxi cabs and up and down sidewalks. But what do you do?
Starting Friday, we have a solution. We’re offering customers flying United Polaris from EWR to LHR (London Heathrow) the option of having their checked bags delivered directly to their rooms at five select Marriott properties in the British capitol, giving them the freedom to spend a day exploring and working in the city without being weighed down.
The participating hotels are the JW Marriott Grosvenor House London, the London Marriott Hotel Canary Wharf, the London Marriott Hotel County Hall, the Sheraton Grand London Park Lane and the St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel London.
Customers don’t need to pre-register for this service. When they arrive at LHR, they can simply proceed through immigration and customs like normal, then follow the signs for the bag drop desk in the airport’s arrivals area, which will be open seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. A service representative will take care of things from there.
Customers who are members of Marriott Bonvoy, Marriott’s travel rewards program, and who booked their stay at one of the aforementioned properties directly with Marriott will receive a notification through the Bonvoy app when their bags arrive at their hotel.
