Qatar Airways is seeing a 35% lift in its passenger numbers year on year and is on target to fly 12m people in 2009 when the New Doha International Airport opens, reported Gulf News. Ali Al Rais, QR's GM for Commercial Operations, said the airline carried just over 6m people last year and it should hit around 8m in 2007.
