A foot-long baby crocodile wriggled out of a passenger's hand luggage, causing panic on an Egyptair flight from Abu Dhabi to Cairo on Friday, an airport official told the Associated Press.
A crew member rounded up the crocodile and calmed passengers, reported the AP. The airport security official said the animal was seized and given to the Cairo Zoo.
Transporting exotic animals in and out of Egypt is illegal. None of the passengers claimed ownership of the baby croc, said the AP.
