NWA drops Detroit-Brussels route

Northwest Airlines will stop flying between Detroit and Brussels, Belgium, two months after opening the route, as the carrier copes with a pilot shortage.
The daily service, which started June 15, will halt after the Aug. 14 return flight, said officials at the Brussels airport. Last month, Northwest cut one of its Detroit-Frankfurt flights.
The carrier doesn't plan to drop any other international routes and may resume service to Belgium later, a Northwest spokesman said.
Northwest is seeking to stem pilot staffing problems that helped snarl operations in the past two months. On Wednesday, Northwest and the pilots union reached a tentative agreement aimed at addressing the problems.

Certo che NW è proprio messa male, continuano a ridurre per via della mancanza di piloti e altro personale !
Un eventuale ritorno in Italia si fa cosi sempre più improbabile, date le condizioni in cui versa la compagnia.
