RWY 16C/34C FORMER RWY 16C/34C IS ACTUALLY IDENTIFIED AND USED AS TWY 'D' (RELEVANT AD CHART AGA 2-41.5) IN SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES (E.G. RWY 16L/34R MAINT WORKS) THE ABOVE TWY 'D' MIGHT BE USED AS RWY WITH PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS, MARKINGS AND SIGNS AS LISTED IN AGA 2-41.1 (RELEVANT AD CHART AGA 2-41.5.1) AND FOLLOWING CONSEQUENTLY RWY 16L/34R WILL BE CLOSED. THIS EVENT WILL BE ANNOUNCED WITH SPECIFIC NOTAM NORMALLY ISSUED AT LEAST 48HR IN ADVANCE. THEREFORE ALL INFORMATIONS CONTAINED IN AIP (AGA, RAC, MAP) ABOUT RWY 16C/34C, ARE VALID AT THE MOMENT OF ACTIVATION OF THE CONFIGURATION ANNOUNCED BY NOTAM AS MENTIONED ABOVE. RWY 16C/34C IS QUALIFIED FOR OPERATIONS UP TO 4E ACFT CODE(B747/400)
PARTICULAR RULES ON RWY 16C/34C IN PRESENCE OF CONTAMINATION AND/OR HEAVY RAIN AIRCRAFT OPERATIONS ARE REGULATED AS FOLLOWS:
- TAKE-OFF NOT ALLOWED
- LANDING NOT ALLOWED WITH CROSS WIND COMPONENT EXCEEDING 15KT
- LANDING NOT ALLOWED TO AIRCRAFT WITH REDUCED PERFORMANCES DUE TO FAILURE
- CODE 'E' OR UPPER AIRCRAFT OPERTIONS NOT ALLOWED. TRAFFIC ON TWY 'C' BETWEEN CL AND CD DURING THE PRESENCE ON 16C/34C OF AN ACFT IN TKOF ROLLING OR IN FINAL APPROACH, IS PERMITTED ONLY AT TYPE C ACFT (OR MINOR) IF THE RVR IS EQUAL OR MORE THE 1000M AND CEILING IS EQUAL OR MORE THAN 500FT.
G) LANDING ON RWY 16C
- LAND AFTER PROCEDURE CAN BE APPLIED ALSO ON RWY 16C FOLLOWING SAME CRITERIA PUBLISHED IN AIP RAC 4-2-2 FOR RWY 16L IN ADDITION VISIBILITY HAS TO BE HIGHER THAN OR EQUAL 5KM.
- DURING LAND AFTER PROCEDURE THE ACFT TAXIING TO VACATE SHALL MAINTAIN ADEQUATE SPEED AS FAR AS PRATICABLE TO GUARANTEE MINIMU RWY OCCUPANCY TIME.
- USE OF EXIT TWY 'CD', 'CE' AND 'CH' IS NOT ALLOWED.
- RWY 16C MST BE CONSIDERED CLEARED WHEN LANDING TRAFFIC HAS CROSSED ICAO RUNWAY END SIGNALS. ACFT SHALL PROCEED STRAIGHT ON ALONG TWY 'D'. H) TAKE-OFF RWY 16C
- ACFT UNABLE TO TAKE-OFF FROM 'A' (2850M) OR 'B' (2340M) ITERMEDIATE POINTS, CAN PERFORM BACK-TRACK ON THE APPROPRIATE BAY (3600M) MARKED WITH ICAO SIGNALS ONLY IF THE RVR IS HIGHER THAN OR EQUAL 1000M.
I) LANDING ON RWY 34C
- HIGHER THEN CLASS 'C' ACFT LANDING WILL BE PERFORMED ONLY IN CONTINGENCY AND WITH ATC COORDINATION
- ACFT UNABLE TO VACATE RWY FROM TWY 'CD' 2340M AFTER THRESHOLD (AD CHART AGA 2-41.5.1) AND/OR NEEDING A HIGHER DISTANCE MUST INFORM IMMEDIATELY ATC TO EVENTUALLY LAND ON RWY34L
J) TAKE OFF RWY 34C
- IN CASE OF TAKE-OFF AND LANDING OPERATIONS ON RWY 34C THE HOLDING POINT FOR TAKE-OFF IS ON TWY 'D' BETWEEN M AND CM.
- WHEN ONLY TAKE-OFF OPERATIONS ARE IN PROGRESS ON RWY 34C, '25 APPROACH SIGN' IS AVBL AS 'HOLDING POINT' ON ATC DISCRETION. REF AIP AGA 2-41.5.1)
