According to expressen.se Norwegian Air is going to offer one-way tickets from Arlanda, Sweden to Bangkok for 1.000 – 1.500 SEK. The cheap tickets are available for customers in the autumn of 2012.
The reason for the new low prizes has to do with the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner Norwegian has purchased to fly its long distance destinations. According to Norwegian CEO, Bjorn Kjos, the new plane is faster and half as expensive in fuel, and that makes for the cheap tickets.
Bangkok is not the only destination Norwegian is targeting for the future. The airline has plans of buying 16 new long distance planes and according to Expressen China, Vietnam and Brazil are going to be the next destinations targeted by Norwegian.
“Stockholm is going to be our gateway to Asia,” says Bjorn Kjos to expressen
