The company flyLAL charters PL Sp. z.o.o was registered in December and started the official procedures with Civil Aviation Administration of Poland required for establishment of an air company and for the obtainment of the Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC).
„Our successful business in charter markets of Lithuania, Estonia and Italy encouraged us to expand business to other neighbouring countries“, - says Vytautas Kaikaris, Chairman of the Board of flyLAL charters PL Sp. z.o.o.
The new air company will be registered in Poland and will hire local aviation specialists. At the beginning company plans to create about 60 new working places. The number of locally hired aviation specialists will be increased to 100 by the year 2012. The company has already started personnel search and selection.
„We will be ready to start charter flights from main Polish airports from summer 2010. The demand for non-scheduled flights is growing and the number of air passengers in Poland has been increasing over the years. For the Polish travellers the establishment of the new local charter carrier will give the bigger choice of holiday destinations, safe flights and a competitive price“, - says Vytautas Kaikaris, Chairman of the Board of flyLAL charters PL Sp. z.o.o.
The Company plans to operate passenger charter flights for the main Polish Tour Operators. The charter flights programs will be carried out from main Polish airports to popular holiday destinations in Turkey, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Spain, Portugal, Greece and others.
According to V. Kaikaris, the Company aims to achieve about 15 percent share of the Polish charter flights market by the year 2012.
Lithuanian aviation business group „Avia Solutions Group“ has developed the largest aviation infrastructure in the Baltics and has two charter companies flyLAL charters and FlyLAL Charter Eesti. In year 2009 they carried over 380 000 passengers and led the Baltic charter market with 60 percent market share in terms of transported passengers. In Lithuania flyLAL charters has 85 percent market share and FlyLAL Charter Eesti has about 55 percent market share in Estonia.
