Bodrum and Lamezia Terme latest additions to 2014 summer schedule from MUC / More flights to summer destinations in Europe
Lufthansa is continuing to expand its offering to popular holiday destinations. Starting next summer, two new destinations – Bodrum in Turkey and Lamezia Terme in Southern Italy – will be served from Munich. Furthermore, Lufthansa is boosting its frequencies to a number of other summer destinations. “Next year we will once again offer our customers more flights to destinations around the Mediterranean. This means that Lufthansa passengers will be able to reach the most appealing holiday regions quickly and easily, and also fly at attractive times,” says Thomas Klühr, Member of the Lufthansa German Airlines Board responsible for Finance and the Munich Hub. Lufthansa flies nonstop from its hub in Southern Germany to 25 summer destinations more than 70 times per week, and increases its schedule to more than 100 departures per week during the summer holidays.
The Turkish Riviera offers ideal conditions for water sports and for interesting excursions along the Mediterranean coastline. Bodrum, with its historic city centre and rich cultural life, is an attractive destination for tourists. From 8 June to 2 November 2014, Lufthansa will serve this Turkish port city with an Airbus A320. Flights are scheduled to depart from Munich at 11.20 hrs.
In future, Southern Italy will only be two hours away from Munich by plane. Lamezia Terme is the gateway to the popular holiday region of Calabria with its fantastic beaches on the Tyrrhenian and Ionian seas. Lufthansa will operate a non-stop Airbus A320 service to Lamezia Terme from 12 April to 1 November. Flights will depart from Munich every Saturday at 9.00 hrs.
Furthermore, in 2014, Lufthansa will for the first time offer its customers flights from Munich to Tunis throughout the summer. Every Saturday from 7 June to 1 November, an Airbus A320 will depart from Munich at 15.20 hrs bound for the North African city.
