Ryanair, Europe’s No.1 airline, today (20 Jun) announced the purchase of 10 more Boeing 737 Max 200 “Gamechanger” aircraft, 5 of which will deliver in the first half of 2019, with the second 5 delivering in the first half of 2020. This new order, which is valued at more than $1.1 billion at current list prices, will, together with the existing firm order for 100 Max 200s (and 100 options), allow Ryanair to grow its traffic to 200m customers p.a. by 2024.

Ryanair’s operates an all-Boeing fleet, the youngest in Europe, with an average age of six and a half years, and took delivery of its 450th Boeing aircraft in March 2017. These new Max “Gamechanger” aircraft will reduce fuel consumption by up to 16% and reduce noise emissions by 40%, while offering 4% more seats per flights (197 v 189) allowing Ryanair to lower fares even further, while ensuring that Ryanair remains Europe’s greenest and cleanest airline.

Boeing, Blue Air Announce Order for Six 737 MAXs

Carrier becomes first Romanian 737 MAX customer
Blue Air will also lease additional 12 737s from Air Lease Corporation


LE BOURGET, France, June 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Boeing [NYSE: BA] and Blue Air today announced an order for six 737 MAX airplanes at the 2017 Paris Air Show.

The order was previously attributed to an unidentified customer on the Boeing Orders & Deliveries website.

The Romanian carrier will also lease a further six 737 MAXs and six Next-Generation 737-800s from Air Lease Corporation.

"The 737 MAX will help shape the future of Blue Air, allowing us to fly to new, further destination whilst continuing to keep our fares low for our passengers due to the incredible efficiencies of the airplane."

The 737 MAX family has been designed to offer customers exceptional performance, flexibility and efficiency, with lower per-seat costs and an extended range that will open up new destinations in the single-aisle market, capabilities that perfectly match with Blue Air's Smart Flying strategy.

The 737 MAX is the fastest-selling airplane in Boeing history, accumulating more than 3,700 orders from 87 customers worldwide. The 737-800 is the best-selling version of the successful Next-Generation 737 family.

cioè mi paion pochi sti ordini rispetto alle passate edizioni dove c'erano almeno 1000 ordini per costruttore... nessuna notizia in più?

-più commesse dai lessor che dai costruttori
-pochi WB venduti
-Boeing doppia abbondantemente le commesse di Airbus (considerando i soli ordini fermi la differenza si riduce molto), con numeri molto alti per il 737Max sulla scia del lancio della nuova versione -10.
-Il 737-10 ha portato a casa, conversioni incluse, 361 commesse.
