Korean Air orders five A330-200s and two 777-300ERs
Korean Air has placed a firm order with Airbus for five additional A330-200s, and plans to order two Boeing 777-300ERs.
The A330s will be powered by Pratt & Whitney PW4000 engines.
In a regulatory filing, the carrier gave an investment figure of $1.57 billion.
Korean posted a net profit of 282 billion won ($263.1 million) in the first quarter, compared with 189 billion won in the same period last year.
