The flight AY-798, operated by Finnair (Airbus A319-100, registration OH-LVI) from Pisa (Italy) to Helsinki (Finland) was enroute near Riga (Letvia) when the crew decided to divert to Riga reporting smoke in the cabin. The airplane landed safely on Riga’s runway 36 about 20 minutes later. The incident aircraft was ferried to Helsinki about 4.5 hours after landing.
