"Etihad Crystal Cargo has been named 2007 Cargo Airline of the Year at Air Cargo Media's annual awards evening held at London's Royal Lancaster Hotel.
Despite only joining the airline two weeks ago, head of cargo Des Vertannes was delighted that the airline had received such a prestigious award. He dedicated the award to Etihad's cargo team in recognition of the level of service they had provided over the previous 12 months.
Over 40,000 votes were cast for the 2007 awards with the other awards going to:

Far East - Singapore Airlines
Africa - Emirates SkyCargo
Indian Sub-Continent - Etihad Crystal Cargo
North America - British Airways World Cargo
South & Central America - British Airways World Cargo

Best Cargo Airport upto 100,000 tonnes:
Winner: Fujairah International Airport
Best Cargo Airport 100,000-500,000 tonnes:

Chairman of China Airlines, Philip Wei, was honoured to receive the life achievement award in recognition of his driving force behind the airline's successful cargo operation."
