Delta scraps Manchester-New York service

Delta Air Lines is to scrap its Manchester-New York JFK route on January 7. The US carrier said there was not enough demand to make the service viable.
Passengers affected by the decision are to be booked on Delta’s Manchester service to Atlanta or with partner airlines Air France and KLM.
A spokeswoman told ttglive: “Given projected seasonal demand levels, Delta will be suspending its Manchester-New York JFK service. The last service from JFK will operate on January 7 and the last service from Manchester will operate on January 8.
She said Delta "remains committed to the UK market" with its Manchester-Atlanta, Gatwick-Atlanta, and Heathrow to JFK, Atlanta, Minneapolis and Detroit services.
