Incident: Delta B738 near Salt Lake City on Aug 1st 2011, toilet didn't smell like roses

A Delta Airlines Boeing 737-800, registration N3750D performing flight DL-821 from Minneapolis,MN to Los Angeles,CA (USA), was enroute at FL360 about 140nm eastsoutheast of Salt Lake City,UT when the crew decided to divert to Salt Lake City to have a smelly toilet repaired. The airplane landed safely in Salt Lake City about 25 minutes later.
The aircraft continued the flight to Los Angeles after about 80 minutes on the ground in Salt Lake City and reached Los Angeles with a delay of 3 hours.
The aircraft was carrying Guns N Roses former guitarist Slash who twittered not too excited: "Gotta love Delta". Other passengers commented the toilet stank and was blocked off by cabin crew.
