Con i nuovi collegamenti messi a punto da AirBerlin raggiungere buona parte della Sicilia dalla Germania, e viceversa, non sarà più cosi tanto difficile. Sembrano lontani i tempi in cui solo il sabato a Fontanarossa partivano le varie HapagLloyd, Ltu, Condor e Lufthansa. Con il nuovo trisettimanale KM su FRA, LH torna su FRA e con l'eccezione, temporanea, di Hamburg, l'estate 2010 registrerà considerevoli incrementi di frequenza. Ancora alla finestra un diretto DUS CTA di LH e il probabile ed annunciato sbarco (prima dell'invasione AB) di Germanwings.
