Bombardier: 249 ordini e 245 consegne nel 2011

Bombardier Aerospace ha reso noto i risultati relativi agli ordini e alle consegne nell'anno fiscale conclusosi il 31 dicembre 2011. Gli ordini per nuovi aeroplani Bombardier sono stati 249, al netto delle cancellazioni, mentre sul versante delle consegne il costruttore aeronautico canadese ha fatto uscire dai propri stabilimenti 245 aerei (nell'anno precedente consegnò 256 velivoli), un risultato in linea con le 240 unità previste dal costruttore all'inizio dell'anno scorso.

“Le ricorrenti fluttuazioni nelle economie mondiali avvenute nel 2011 hanno creato una tendenza alla cautela in molti settori, e la risultante incertezza ha proseguito a colpure il settore dell'aviazione civile,” ha commentato Guy C. Hachey, presidente e COO di Bombardier Aerospace. “Tuttavia, con il nostro intero portafoglio di aerei business, commerciali e anfibi, siamo ben posizionati per soddisfare le necessità di lungo termine dei nostri clienti. Il settore dell'aviazione civile è abituato alle turbolenze esterne e Bombardier ha dato prova di superare con successo le sfide. Con questo ambiente economico incerto, il nostro segmento di business jet di grandi dimensioni è andato estremamente bene, come dimostrato dalla nostra famiglia di business jet Global che ha visto una crescita continua. Inoltre, il velivolo regional CRJ1000 NextGen sta andando oltre le nostre aspettative e siamo felici della crescita e della varietà della base di clienti della nostra famiglia di aerei di linea CSeries.”

Nello specifico, negli undici mesi dell'anno fiscale conclusosi il 31 dicembre scorso, Bombardier ha consegnato 163 business jet (nell'anno fiscale precedenti sono stati consegnati 155 aerei) e ha ricevuto ordini per 191 nuovi aerei (107 nell'anno procedente). Per quanto riguarda i velivoli commerciali invece, Bombardier ha consegnato 78 nuovi aerei (97 consegne l'anno precedente) e ha ricevuto ordini per 54 nuovi aerei (93 ordini ricevuti l'anno fiscale precedente).

Formula 1 World Champion Niki Lauda Purchases Global 5000 Jet

First Global 5000 jet to be delivered with Global Vision flight deck



Bombardier today announced that Niki Lauda, through NL Holding GmbH, has placed a firm order for a Global 5000 jet. The aircraft, scheduled for delivery at the beginning of 2012, will be the first Global 5000 jet to be delivered with the new Global Vision flight deck.
"I recently had the opportunity to fly the Global 5000 jet and was extremely impressed with the aircraft''s performance and handling characteristics," said Niki Lauda, President, FlyNiki. "I am very excited to be the first operator to own a Global 5000 jet with the Global Vision flight deck, and I can''t wait to fly it. Until then, I will continue to fly and travel in my Challenger 300 jet, which continues to impress me at every occasion."
Three-time Formula 1 World Champion Niki Lauda has a long history in aviation and is the majority shareholder of FlyNiki, the second largest airline in Austria*. The Global 5000 jet is the latest in a series of Bombardier business aircraft that Mr. Lauda has owned and piloted during his career as an aviator. He currently operates a Challenger 300 jet as his private aircraft, which he frequently uses to travel to Formula 1 races around the world from his home base in Austria.

The super large Global 5000 jet combines superior transatlantic speed with the largest cabin in its market segment. With a range of 5,200 NM (9,630 km), the jet can connect Vienna-New York, or Vienna-Tokyo non-stop with eight passengers and three crew**.
