06OCT2012: BoA sets November 22 as launch date for new Santa Cruz-Madrid route
BoA - Boliviana de Aviación (OB, La Paz El Alto (LPB)) has announced that it will launch three times weekly service from Santa Cruz Viru Viru International (VVI) to Madrid Barajas (MAD) from November 22 using an A340-300. While this has not yet been confirmed yet, it is assumed that the aircraft will initially be wet-leased from another operator. BoA also hopes to announce a launch date for a new route to Miami International (MIA) shortly. Despite several previous announcements about plans to take over a lot of international routes Aerosur (5L, Santa Cruz Viru Viru International (VVI)) had served before, BoA does not yet serve any international destinations other than Buenos Aires Ezeiza Ministro Pistarini (EZE) and São Paulo Internacional Guarulhos (GRU) which had both already been served before Aerosur went out of business.
