Air France increases fuel surcharge
Wednesday 11 June 2008

Due to the high level of fuel prices, Air France is increasing its fuel surcharge by 2 euros per segment on domestic flights, by 5 euros per segment on medium-haul flights, by 10 euros per segment on long-haul flights and by 20 euros per segment on very long-haul flights.

This increase is valid on tickets for trips from France, issued as from 13 June 2008.

Half of this increase will be withdrawn as soon as the price per barrel remains steady under 120 US dollars.

The remaining increase will be withdrawn as soon as the price per barrel remains steady under 115 US dollars.

Lufthansa adjusts fuel surcharges on European and long-haul routes
Increase necessary due to recent oil price rises

11.06.08
In recent weeks, crude oil and kerosene prices have continued to rise and are reaching highest levels. In response to this development, Lufthansa is adjusting its fuel surcharges on its flights. The fuel surcharge on domestic German and intra-European routes will increase by 3 euros to 24 euros per flight segment. On long-haul routes the corresponding fuel surcharge will be raised by 10 euros to 92 euros per flight segment. The increases will apply to all Lufthansa tickets issued on or after 16 June 2008.

Lufthansa last increased its fuel surcharges on 14 May 2008 – on European flights by 4 euros to 21 euros and on long-haul flights by 5 euros to 82 euros.

Lufthansa continually monitors oil prices and will make any future adjustments to the fuel surcharge dependent on further trends in the price of jet fuel.

British Airways will increase its fuel surcharge on all tickets issued from Tuesday June 3, 2008.

The decision reflects continuing high oil prices.

The changes will mean:

The surcharge for short haul flights will increase by £3 per flight (£6 return) from £13 per flight (£26 return) to £16 per flight (£32 return).
The surcharge for long haul flights of less than nine hours will increase by £15 per flight from £63 per flight (£126 return) to £78 per flight (£156 return)
The surcharge for long haul flights of more than nine hours will increase by £30 per flight from £79 per flight (£158 return) to £109 per flight (£218 return)

British Airways will also increase its fuel surcharges by similar levels in markets outside the UK.

Austrian Airlines: supplemento carburante su voli corto e lungo raggio
