Dublin, November 19th, 2010 – ASL Aviation Group announced today the completion of the acquisition of Safair (Safair Operations and Safair Lease Finance) which includes a portfolio of new generation aircraft.
This acquisition enhances ASL's three core activities of Airlines, aviation Support and Leasing services.
Safair Operations will be the third company in the Airline branch of the Group along with Air Contractors and Europe Airpost.
Also included in the transaction is the purchase of a minority interest in the aircraft maintenance associate, Jetworx, based in Johannesburg adding to the Support Services branch.
The purchase of prime new generation aircraft in Safair Lease Finance will meaningfully increase the ASL Aviation Group Leasing portfolio.
