Armenian “Armavia” to launch new flights to Zurich, Berlin, Marseille and Teheran in 2009

YEREVAN, December 9. /ARKA/. Armenian Armavia air company is opening new flights to Zurich, Berlin, Marseille and Teheran in 2009, Commercial Director of the company Julien Dufour told a press conference Monday.

Yerevan-Zurich-Yerevan flights are to be launched late March 2009 and be operated every Tuesday and Thursday.
Armavia has signed a transit agreement with the Swiss Air giving its passengers an opportunity to travel to any European city via Zurich, Dufour said.

Yerevan-Berlin-Yerevan is to be operated on Tuesdays and Fridays starting from April 14. Berlin will also be a transit city for Armavia’s passengers traveling to any city of German or Europe.

The company is also to recommence Marseille-Yerevan-Marseille flight in May next year and to operate it every Saturday in the beginning, and twice a week starting from late June giving the passengers an opportunity of transit flights to any city in Southern France and better connections for traveling to Spanish cities, Dufour said.

Yerevan-Tehran-Yerevan to be opened in April will be operated twice a week.
