ANA offrirà ai passeggeri di prima un servizio elicottero gratutito città-aeroporto
TOKYO, Aug 20, 2009
All Nippon Airways Co. said Thursday it will begin a helicopter service that will transport, for free, its first class passengers from Narita airport to central Tokyo to stimulate travel demand ravaged by the economic downturn.
The 30-minute ride connecting Narita airport, east of Tokyo, and Akasaka, a Tokyo business district, will be available from Sept. 16 to the end of next March.
The complimentary service applies to round-trip first class passengers returning to Narita from New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, London, Paris and Frankfurt, ANA said.
Through the new service provided with Mori Building City Air Services Co., ANA hopes to attract busy business executives who want to avoid traffic when returning from the airport.
The interior of the luxury helicopter -- a Eurocopter EC135 -- is designed by Maison Hermes of France and seats four to five passengers.
