Strano che se fosse integrata in Air France lo sarebbe in Regional e non in CityJet.

Con l'acquisizione di VLM, il gruppo AF/KLM, si troverebbe in una posizione di quasi monopolio sul London City Airport.
Non penso che questa situazione sarà molto gradita oltremanica...

Stando a voci non del tutto attendibili KLM Cityhopper dovrebbe rinnovare la sua flotta di Fokker con i Dash 8.
Da prendere con le pinze.

BRUSSELS (Thomson Financial) - Belgian airline VLM denied rumours that it is in takeover talks with Air France-KLM.

A spokeswoman for the company said that a report in Dutch daily De Telegraaf, which said that Air France-KLM (nyse: AKH - news - people ) is hoping to merge the Belgian airline with its KLM City Hopper and/or Air France Regional subsidiary, is 'not true'.

'VLM has grown over the past ten years and for the last nine years we have posted a profit', she said.

'One third of all flights in and out of London City airport are operated by us, which means other companies are watching us closely'.

But for the moment VLM is not in any takeover talks, neither with Air France-KLM, nor with any other company, the VLM spokeswoman stressed
