Aer Lingus signed a 20-year lease contract for hangar 6 with Dublin Airport Authority last month (December 2009). The former SR Technics facility has a floor space of 23,000m2 (247,500ft2), enough to accommodate up to two 747 and five 737 aircraft at once. The Irish flag carrier plans to concentrate its operations and maintenance functions in the building, which also offers office space for approximately 350 members of staff. Financial terms were not disclosed.
