Aer Lingus to open Shannon-Paris route

Wednesday, October 27 12:00:32

Aer Lingus today confirmed a new three times weekly service between Shannon and Paris Charles de Gaulle, starting on 17th December.

The introduction of the Paris route brings to eight the total number of destinations served by Aer Lingus from Shannon Airport, with up to 59 flights per week available on services to London Heathrow, Paris, New York and Boston, and Aer Lingus Regional services to Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow and Manchester.

"We are very pleased to announce the new Aer Lingus service to Paris, which further builds on our network from Shannon Airport. This development reflects our continued commitment to providing the Shannon region with high quality service to a wide choice of destinations," said Aer Lingus Director of Communications, Declan Kearney.

Speaking at the launch, Shannon Airport Director Martin Moroney said: "We are delighted to welcome a new Shannon Charles de Gaulle service from Aer Lingus. Paris is one of the world's most visited cities and Charles de Gaulle is one of the most important aviation hubs, with onward connectivity to more than 200 non-stop destinations. Along with our existing Aer Lingus services to Heathrow, this ensures that Shannon now has outstanding onward connectivity to all major destinations across the globe."
