Damasco: ripresa voli commerciali

Etihad increases Damascus to a daily service as demand grows

Daily flights between Abu Dhabi and Damascus from 14 November 2026

Abu Dhabi, UAE – Etihad Airways will operate a daily service to Damascus from 14 November 2026, increasing the route from four to seven weekly flights.

Since its inaugural flight in June, the route has established itself as an important link between the UAE and Syria, serving families, business travellers and guests continuing across Etihad’s network. The move to a daily schedule offers each of them considerably greater choice in when they travel.

Many Syrians have built their careers and raised their families in the UAE. For them, a daily service means a journey home can be planned around a family occasion or a long weekend.

Arik De, Etihad Airways Chief Revenue & Commercial Officer, said: “Damascus has been an important addition to our network, and a daily service is the natural next step. It brings the Syrian capital within easy reach of our guests in the UAE, and places Damascus just one stop from the many destinations we serve beyond Abu Dhabi.”

From Abu Dhabi, guests travelling from Syria can continue onward with Etihad to destinations across the Gulf, Asia and North America, including Toronto and Calgary, Etihad’s newest destination in North America, as well as New York, Charlotte, Muscat and Malé. The UAE capital rewards those who stay, from the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque to the museums of the Saadiyat Cultural District and the beaches of the Arabian Gulf, with Etihad’s Stopover programme making an extended visit effortless.

For guests travelling in the other direction, the daily service brings Damascus closer than ever. For centuries a crossroads of trade, scholarship and faith, the Syrian capital is home to a walled Old City and the Umayyad Mosque, among the most revered landmarks in the Arab world.
