Easyjet chiude Malpensa-Tolosa e Venezia-Tolosa

Easyjet chiude la rotta Malpensa-Tolosa ultimo volo il 2 ottobre ma già da luglio viene progressivamente ridotta da 4 a soli 2x week.

La rotta era da tempo a rischio chiusura e spesso si trovavano prezzi molo bassi anche sotto data. Ricordo che recentemente anche Air france aveva chiuso la malpensa-tolosa adesso non ci sono più voli diretti bisognerà fare scalo evidentemente é una rotta con numeri di nicchia dove potrebbe reggere forse un regional non di più.

Non mi stupisce questa chiusura le rotte verso la provincia francese
da milano sono sempre state deboli delle tre rotte che aveva aperto Easyjet lione é stata chiusa adesso é la volta di tolosa mentre l'ultima rimasta bordeaux é a rischio chiusura. Vediamo come sarà sostituito il volo se con nuova rotta o aumento di frequenze su altre esistenti.

Don’t panic. Modern LCCs are meant to analyse their least performing routes, then axe them, and re-allocate the capacity to more profitable route prospects. In this case, the loss of 39 routes is more than compensated for by the addition of 64 new routes this summer.​

Airlines constantly monitor the financial performance of individual routes, and sometimes this can lead to the decision to cease operating a particular airport-pair. This releases capacity that can either be used to increase frequency on existing routes, or creates an opportunity for a new route to be started. Analysis of easyJet’s network this summer, and comparing it with last summer, reveals a total of 39 airport-pairs that are no longer part of the orange network. These are summarised in the following table.

easyJet had announced last year that it would be cutting back its operations in Madrid, and 14 of last summer’s routes will no longer be served this year. The airports to lose the next most number of routes are Liverpool (five), followed by Barcelona and Dortmund with four each. Of the five dropped Liverpool routes, only one (Malta) is served by easyJet from its nearby base at Manchester. In total, 37 airports have lost at least one easyJet service. Out of these, only La Coruna in Spain no longer has any easyJet services.
[h=2]All but five routes still served by other carriers[/h]Among the 39 routes just five are not served by at least one other carrier this summer. Three of these routes are from Liverpool (to Brussels, Gibraltar and Tallinn), plus Dortmund – Thessaloniki, and Madrid – Heraklion. A total of 19 airlines will benefit from easyJet’s decision to withdraw from these routes, with Iberia losing a competitor on 11 routes, and Ryanair facing reduced competition on nine routes. Spanish carriers Air Europa and Vueling will also have reasons to be pleased. The following table shows which airlines benefit, and how many routes are affected.

Si faranno bastare la notevole mole di nordeuropei (ed italiani). A Madrid purtroppo hanno ben altri problemi, quelli sì, agghiaccianti. Se non sbaglio, BA dovrebbe aver introdotto anche numerosi voli da LCY. Ad IBZ se la caveranno.

Aggiornamento: Easyjet chiude anche la Venezia-Tolosa e la Porto-Tolosa che terminano a fine ottobre. Quindi in totale 3 rotte chiuse da Tolosa.

Se non sbaglio con la chiusura della MXP-TLS e della VCE-TLS non rimane piu' nessun volo diretto da tutto il nord italia a Tolosa.

Invece non mi sorprende per niente visto che il 90% dei turisti tra Ibiza e Formentera sono stranieri che arrivano a IBZ con volo diretto.

Mi meraviglio per Ibiza che l'ho sempre considerata come un baluardo per il turismo spagnolo, però si, immagino che sopravvivrà con gli stranieri, sopratutto inglesi.

Potresti postare dei numeri al riguardo?

Comunque sia non credo sia molto inerente imho, visto che il traffico MAD-IBZ di U2 e' prevalentemente p2p.

Il fatto è che a Madrid Easyjet ha chiuso la base quindi giocoforza tutte le rotte operate con aerei base MAD sono state chiuse. Ma non penso affatto che fossero tutte in perdita alcune potevano avere anche buoni risultati ma la scelta di chiudere la base comporta appunto di eliminare tutte queste rotte indipendentemente dal loro andamento positivo o negativo che fosse.

Ad esempio sulla MAD-IBZ stagionale estiva si è passati da 3 daily a zero, ok la crisi spagnola ma credo che almeno un daily avrebbe potuto reggere bene in estate, Ibiza è una delle destnazioni balneari preferite dai madrileni ma appunto scegliendo di chiudere la base la scelta è tra prendere o lasciare tutto.
