Quale futuro per i biofuel?

Buongiorno! sono Andrea. Sono al 5° anno di una scuola aeronautica e per la tesina sto facendo la riduzione dell' inquinamento atmosferico e acustico. Tra i molti documenti che ho trovato sul campo dell' inquinamento atmosferico, ho trovato che in futuro si voleva utilizzare l'ecofuel, solamente che non trovo materiale in internet e quindi volevo sapere se voi ne sapevate qualcosa..

Nel 2012 ho partecipato a Rio a un evento per il primo volo (credo un San Paolo - Rio) fatto con biocarburante.

Dovrei ritrovare il materiale (se interessa posso provarci) anche se, per quel che ricordo, doveva essere miscelato al carurante normale e comunque dovevano essere fatte modifiche ai motori.

Biofuel, cioè sprecare il cibo per farne carburante oppure usare gli scarti? La prima è eticamente ed energeticamente sconveniente.

se riesci a trovare qualcosa e passarmelo sarebbe l'ideale, in modo che posso approfondire un po' l'argomento ed evito di trovarmi impreparato a qualche eventuale domanda all'orale :)

Finnair operates biofuel flight to New York

Finnair will operate a flight from Helsinki to New York Tuesday with an Airbus A330 using environmentally sustainable biofuel, it said in a statement.
The flight coincides with the UN Climate Summit taking place in New York.
According to Finnair, the biofuel mixture powering the flight to New York was provided by SkyNRG Nordic—a joint venture between SkyNRG and Statoil Aviation. The mixture is partly manufactured from cooking oil recycled from restaurants, an example of a biofuel alternative to ordinary jet fuel that significantly reduces net greenhouse gas emissions while also being sustainable in its own right.
“The UN Climate Summit is an important gathering to fight climate change, and we wanted to take this opportunity to highlight the climate benefits of more widespread adoption of environmentally sustainable biofuels in aviation,” Finnair VP-sustainable development Kati Ihamäki said.
Finland Minister for International Development Pekka Haavisto said, “As air traffic contributes 2% of all greenhouse gas emissions, it is very important to have this trial with the use of biofuels. If the price of oil rises and biofuels become cheaper, there will hopefully be a day when we’ll be able to replace at least some of the fossil fuels with fuels made of renewable and waste material.”
Along with its partners, Finnair is also investigating the possibility of establishing a biofuel hub at Helsinki Airport. Finnair said it is active in the Nordic Initiative for Sustainable Aviation, a group of airlines, airport operators, manufacturers and government ministries working to accelerate the development of sustainable biofuel for aviation in the Nordic.
