Transaero boss outlines proposed plans to revive carrier

Transaero Airlines (UN, Moscow Vnukovo) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Alexander Burdin says the bankrupt carrier is currently exploring several options insofar as the resumption of full flight operations is concerned.

Speaking to TASS, Burdin said that in the event Transaero's attempt to reinstate its Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) through the courts fails, it would consider either applying for a fresh AOC or merging, acquiring or cooperating with an existing, fully certified airline. According to Burdin, this is the only way for any of Transaero's creditors to get back any of the over RUB250 billion (USD3.72 billion) it owes.

The carrier's board is looking to put together a proposal for creditors in which they will outline the proposed restoration of operations and with that, a revised debt restructuring scheme.

Burdin said a revived Transaero would likely specialize in Russian Far East flights using a fleet of B737NGs, SSJ 100-95s, and Irkut MC-21s.

mi autoquoto solo per dire che finalmente dopo più di un anno è volato via.

È un 767-200 e dovrebbe essere ancora a Rimini, penso sia stato solo spostato in un altro gate. Anche perché flightradar non mi da voli recenti

Si è stato spostato all'interno dell'apron. Sono stati smontati i motori.

Quindi la fusoliera potrebbe rimanere sempre qua o verrà spostata per intero come è successo all'altro 767?

Immagino che quando non ci sarà più nulla di utile la fusoliera verrà demolita.
 
Metto su questo thread. A quanto pare anche la russa VIM Airlines si trova in grossi problemi finanziari. Le autorita' russe stanno pensando di vietare le vendite di biglietti alla compagnia. Sull'Italia mi pare volino stagionalmente su RMI.

Russia’s VIM Airlines faces financial turbulence

Russian authorities are studying VIM Airlines’ route network to determine how other carriers could take over certain parts of it in case VIM must cancel flights because of financial problems. The Ministry of Transport said Sept. 23 it could restrict ticket sales.
Moscow Domodedovo-based VIM has severely delayed several flights. According to Russia’s Prime news agency, the carrier is facing financial difficulties and has not paid fuel suppliers, who refuse to work with the airline.
VIM listed “business entities’ disagreement” as the main reason for a decrease in ticket sales. The airline has had several consultations with authorities and partners to stabilize the situation, VIM said in a statement.
VIM Airlines is the 10th biggest carrier in Russia. From January-September, the airline carried 1.8 million passengers, up 31.4% year-over-year. The airline operates domestic and international, scheduled and charter flights.
In July, VIM signed a letter of intent with Russia’s Ilyushin Finance to lease 15 Irkut MC-21-300s at the MAKS Air Show in Moscow.
