    Finnair launches iPad pilot project

    Published: 01/11/2010

Finnair is offering passengers in its Via Lounge and onboard selected flights to Hong Kong the chance to use Apple iPads free of charge, as part of its Rethink Quality project.
The iPads will be available during November to premium passengers using the carrier's Via Lounge in Helsinki, and they will also be handed out on selected flights to Hong Kong.
The devices will be preloaded with content including newspapers, magazines, films, TV series and games, as well as a bespoke Finnair application designed to gather feedback and ideas for product development.
The pilot is part of the carrier’s Rethink Quality project, comprising an online forum “dedicated to exploring the elements that define quality”, including blogs from four “Quality Hunters” who have been employed by Finnair to travel the globe for a period of two months, “in search of exceptional experiences in the air, at airports and in cities across Asia, Europe and the US”.
The airline also has an active Facebook page with over 30,000 followers. The page has more information on the Quality Hunters, a section for booking flights, and regular updates on its Wall.

La prima volta che l'ho avuto in mano ho immediatamente pensato che potesse essere usato a bordo al posto dei vari IFE.
